Trading Tent
How do I trade with vendors?
Every vendor should have a sign that says “TRADE BARGAIN BARTER QUEST” which will tell you all you need to know!
TRADE being checked means they want to know what you want and then can look through what you have to offer and decide if they want to trade! Sometimes it's a non, or sometimes they can use a trade as a kind of coupon, so you pay partial and trade at the same time!
BARGAIN means they're willing to bundle stuff together and cut you a deal since you're getting so much!
BARTER means they're willing to haggle! You could name your price and go back and forth with them until you're both happy or someone walks away from the deal!
QUEST means they have a quest over on the quest board, so if you want to trade them something they want for a reward, you can go check the quest board!
How do I trade with other gobs?
Just ask! A lot of folks come with signs saying what they have and what they're looking for! You can always ask folks who just have a bag or cart and see if they wanna trade! Some folks set out their items while they eat so people passing by can ask to trade! There's always the meet up room, where you can borrow our table space and wait for folks to trade with you, or find a meetup that's a theme you want to trade with! A Minecraft meetup is perfect for folks who want Minecraft stuff, have Minecraft stuff to trade, or just want to meet other folks who are into or cosplaying Minecraft!
Can I trade AND sell?
NO! our vendors PAY to be able to sell their wares! We ask that all visitors TRADE ONLY! Anyone who comes and sells ANYTHING (food, art, toys, clothes, etc) without applying, being accepted, and paying to be a vendor will be stopped! If you are found to be selling a second time, you will be asked to leave!
This might sound a little harsh, but keep in mind our vendors pay to be here! It's a curated market, so they must apply and be accepted! It's not super fair for folks to pay $0 and sell their stuff :/ Maybe one day we can have a more flea market type event where it's goblins selling AND swapping! But for right now, please respect this policy and DON'T SELL!
Can I set up a table and trade from there?
Yes! The meetup room has tons of tables you can borrow space on to trade from! The food court also has tables, but we ask that you only set things out while you eat, so that folks who are using the food court for food get their tables first!
We ask that you don't bring your own table and set up! Folks who have a full table are those who paid for the space to do so! And we don't want to block walkways!
What if no one wants my stuff?
This can happen! We encourage you to reevaluate your hoard and see what might help! Are they all the same item, like clothing that's too small for folks? Are they in presentable condition, like necklaces that are tangled? Are they goods someone would want to trade for and not just get for free? There's a difference between a blank baseball cap and a super cool hat from your favorite artist with a propeller on top!
Can I offer things I make on site, like balloon animals, art?
Totally! Folks have done things like quick sketches of requested characters or balloon animals before, and they've been a hit! Just be sure you're upfront with the person you're trading with, don't make a balloon animal for someone allergic to latex!
